Weld-less
The weld line is caused when two or more plastic flows meet during the injection process. Weld line defects consist of (1) V-grooves on the surface of a molded article, (2) lack of entanglement of resin molecule chains on the confluence surface, and (3) fillers and/or resin particles oriented in parallel with the confluent boundary. In the patented technology of RHCM, the cooling and solidification of molten resin in the weld zone is within its control. Thus, no V-grooves occur and entanglement of resin molecule chains improves due to good transferring, resulting in superior appearance and higher weld strength of the plastic products.
Molten resin flows into the cavity.
On the textured surface, cooling and solidification begin as soon as resin contacts mold surface. Resin cools and solidifies before filling into fine texture of the minute patterns on mold surface.
Solidification proceeds slowly in the area in contact with textured surface of the mold. During this stage, resin does not fill into the minute patterns yet.
Resin cools and solidifies.Mirror-like surface gloss
The fluid end of injection molding is called fountain flow, where molten resin coming from the inside flows out like a fountain. When flowing out, resin is remarkably elongated. The stretched molecule is torn into pieces where the pieces are then pressed against the inner surface of the mold.
No matter whether the mold is polished into mirror surface or not, the fountain flow of conventional injection molding process generates torn pieces of the elongated polymer that remain unevenly on surface finish in spite of the mirror poish. In the patented technology of RHCM, cooling and solidification are controlled until the mirror surface is completely transformed onto the product in the press.
